Speaking

From the Stage

Keynotes, panels, and workshops on cybersecurity strategy, risk quantification, and AI-augmented operations.

From the Stage
01

Quantitative Risk Management

Applying FAIR to real-world public sector decisions. Moving from color-coded heat maps to defensible, dollar-denominated risk estimates.

02

Enterprise Cybersecurity at Scale

Lessons from protecting 35 state agencies, 200K+ devices, and 22 million citizens under a federated governance model.

03

The Practitioner-Researcher

Bridging the gap between academic rigor and operational reality. Why CISOs should be studying whether their own frameworks work.

04

AI-Augmented Security Operations

Building AI-native workflows for security teams. Multi-agent orchestration, context engineering, and automated decision support.

05

Building Cybersecurity Programs

Standing up SOCs, detection engineering, and incident response from scratch. The first 1,000 days of an enterprise security program.

06

Military Leadership in Cybersecurity

Decision-making under uncertainty. How the discipline of Marine Corps leadership translates to enterprise security governance.

07

Public Sector Cyber Challenges

Resource constraints, legislative accountability, citizen data, and the federated model. Why government cybersecurity is structurally different.

08

Context Engineering for AI Systems

Progressive disclosure, instruction compression, and multi-tier agent architectures. Practical patterns from production AI systems.

09

From Heat Maps to Monte Carlo

Modernizing risk assessment with quantitative methods. PERT distributions, simulation, and probabilistic loss modeling for real organizations.

10

Legislative Engagement for CISOs

Translating technical risk into legislative language. Working with advisory councils, appropriations committees, and policy staff.

Speaker Bio

Jason Walker — State CISO, Florida

Jason Walker, CISSP-ISSMP, ISSAP, serves as the State Chief Information Security Officer for Florida, where he leads cybersecurity operations protecting 35 state agencies and the data of 22 million residents. A doctoral candidate at Capitol Technology University, his research applies the FAIR risk quantification model to historical public sector incident data - testing whether our risk frameworks actually predict what happens. Before state government, Jason spent five years protecting the 7th largest U.S. airport at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, and served as an information security contractor for Lockheed Martin. A former Marine Corps Sergeant, he brings the same discipline to enterprise security governance that he learned making decisions under pressure in uniform.
